How AI Jam started.

The idea of AI Jam originated at a different AI event. When Shaili Pankaj hosted a Buildathon with the Lovable community in March 2026, she saw first-hand what happens when people are given the space, time, and community to experiment with AI. Ideas moved from "I should try this one day" to "I actually built something."

It was also where Shaili and Noëmi Kaufmann first met. They quickly realised that they wanted to create more opportunities for people to build together.

Not another class. Not another panel discussion. Not another prediction about the future of AI. Just a space where people can bring ideas, carve out focused time, and learn by building alongside others.

And so the AI Jam Session was born. The first Jam ran on 31 May 2026, and people walked out having built research agents, personal assistants, and whole websites in one sitting. We're just getting going.
